Ultimate Bet Cancels Aruba Poker Classic
Leading online casino UltimateBet.com recently cancelled the Aruba Poker Classic 2010 and is instead focusing on the inaugural Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic that is due to take place in Montreal next month.
Chief Operating Officer for Tokwiro Enterprises, the site’s Quebec-based owner and operator, Paul Legget, reported that they regretted the announcement that the Aruba event will not run this year but that 2010 would be an exciting year for UltimateBet.com and its players. He stated further that they feel that their players can benefit more from them if they invest in new events and rewards.
Players at UltimateBet will continue to receive access to a few of the world’s top tournaments such as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) as well as the World Poker Tour via online satellites. Customers will be offered major WSOP incentives and top competitors will receive additional loyalty benefits.
UltimateBet.com is planning to create many pro-related competitions as well as an UltimateBet Online Championship twice yearly. A monthly $500k Guaranteed Tournament is also being planned which they hope will become a $1 million event.
A deal has also been signed by UltimateBet.com whereby it will serve as official sponsor for the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic. This event will take place over four days from April 15th and have a buy-in of $1,650. Fifty players are set to be sent to this exciting event through a series of online satellite tournaments.
Three “day ones” will be featured in the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic. Players who are eliminated on the first day of the tournament can rebuy into the event with the field’s top ten percent competing on the Sunday.
