One lucky poker player, using the pseudonym KAPPIT, was awarded over $218,000 in cash by Ultimate Bet last Tuesday after winning an incredible Bad Beat Jackpot at this popular online poker room.

KAPPIT, a 60 year-old woman from Ferris, Texas, was playing a $0.25/$0.50 Texas hold’em cash game at the CEREUS Network website when she saw that she held quad nines. She was thrilled with her hand until she discovered that her opponent CJBV held quad queens.

The Bad Beat Jackpot at Ultimate Bet, standing at $670,573.38 kicked in with KAPPIT’S loss as it pays out when a player loses with quad 8s or higher.

KAPPIT was therefore the big winner of the Bad Beat Jackpot even though CJBV had won the hand. CJBV won $109,057 for his part in the event and 7 players each took home a $1,000 bonus just for being at the table. An amount of $89.36 went to each of the remaining 610 players for playing on Ultimate Bet at that moment.

KAPPIT has been playing poker for 45 years and will use part of her winnings to trade in her 1995 truck.

A statement read from Ultimate Bet revealed that fifty cents is collected from all qualifying poker hands and placed into a growing pot until the jackpot is hit. The jackpot is divided among bad beat jackpot players when an online poker player loses a hand with four eights or higher. The remaining pot is held over for the next hit. A piece of the jackpot goes to every player seated at a bad beat jackpot table that features the same limit and game type as where the bad beat occurred.

Ultimate Bet is licensed in Kahnawake.

RealDealPoker.com, the inventive Isle Of Man-licensed online poker room, is holding a special promotion that allows its affiliates an opportunity to offer its players up to 50 percent rakeback for life.

Launched in June, RealDealPoker, com features the automated Cut N’ Shuffle system in place of the usual random number generator with real cards giving players the feel of being in an actual casino. The system has been patented and provides a “cut function” together with the deployment of “burn cards” which, according to Gioia International Limited, the owner, is not available through any other online poker site.

RealDealPoker.com will award the top ten rakers until August 20 with lifetime percentages of between 42 to 50 percent. The actual rate set will be decided at a one-off sit-and-go tournament which will be held on August 27. The top raker will also be awarded a seat into the final for an opportunity to face the American heavyweight boxing champion Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield at September’s Poker in The Park festival while other players get a chance to buy-in to one of its starting qualifiers for Euro 109. Satellites can be bought from Euro 1.50 and 75 percent of the total prize purse will go to the winner of the decisive heads-up match.

Paul Gambrill, Affiliate Director for RealDealPoker.com revealed that players are very impressed at the difference that real cards make to online poker and tend to stick around for a long time after realizing how much more trustworthy a system using real cards actually is.
