One lucky poker player, using the pseudonym KAPPIT, was awarded over $218,000 in cash by Ultimate Bet last Tuesday after winning an incredible Bad Beat Jackpot at this popular online poker room.

KAPPIT, a 60 year-old woman from Ferris, Texas, was playing a $0.25/$0.50 Texas hold’em cash game at the CEREUS Network website when she saw that she held quad nines. She was thrilled with her hand until she discovered that her opponent CJBV held quad queens.

The Bad Beat Jackpot at Ultimate Bet, standing at $670,573.38 kicked in with KAPPIT’S loss as it pays out when a player loses with quad 8s or higher.

KAPPIT was therefore the big winner of the Bad Beat Jackpot even though CJBV had won the hand. CJBV won $109,057 for his part in the event and 7 players each took home a $1,000 bonus just for being at the table.
